2017 Livin' on Horse Time & the Fine Art of Being

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! EARLY BIRD PRICING AVAILABLE UNTIL AUGUST 15!

"One of the best workshops I have ever taken for myself!" (Carrie)

"And you- what of your rushed and useful life? Imagine setting it all down-papers, plans, appointments, everything, leaving only a note: Gone to the fields to be lovely. Be back when I’m through with blooming."

There is a balm for the violence of busyness in your life- Beauty. What could be more beautiful and healing than horses and the woods in fall in Ohio?

"When we come upon beautiful things, they act like small tears in the surface of the world that pull us through to some vaster space."

Time is so precious, and there never seems to be enough of it.

Time for horses is not linear (except at dinner time!). It is that vaster, wordless space between spaces where time stands still and expands- all at the same time!

It takes time to feed and care for your soul. Being mindful with horses in nature can help us more easily access that sacred space within and reconnect with our own inner source of peace, power and freedom.

Come dive into Deep Time for 2 immersive days and one overnight of restorative, reflective, and embodied practices with rescued horses in nature!

Take a nap. Take a walk. Wander and ponder. Breathe. Stretch. Be.

The retreat will be held on 86 acres of beautiful pasture and forest at Circle P Ranch, the home of Circle P Sanctuary, a non-profit equine rescue, rehabilitation, education and adoption center with meals, free time, and overnight accommodations at the peaceful, rustic 400 acre Lutheran Memorial Camp in Marengo, Ohio.

Four fabulous inter-generational soul care practitioners will guide and help you:

  • take a "forest bath" (Don't worry. It doesn't involve water- unless it rains!), star gaze, and plant in the dirt
  • practice ways to be still, connect, and listen deeply
  • discover your ability to receive and interpret the messages your body holds
  • explore slow-eating nourishing family-style meals
  • share your hearts desire and blissful breathing with a horse and mingle with the herd
  • enjoy a fire ceremony, eat smores, and slumber overnight in a secluded cottage in the woods with other busy (and tired!) women

All activities and experiences with the horses during the retreat are un-mounted (on the ground) in natural and barn settings.

Sessions throughout both days will engage the mind, body and spirit in creative and contemplative experiences that deepen self-knowledge.

Discover a New Whole Way of Being- and a new herd of soul friends!

"... witness to the world of a way of being that releases the bonds of compulsive doing and resists the violence that busyness can unleash on our bodies, our relationships, and our communities.”
