The Monthly Horse-Centered Meditation and Prayer Circle
Introduction
In our busy and often overwhelming lives, we all need a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with something deeper. That’s why I created the Monthly Horse-Centered Meditation and Prayer Circle—a space where you can step away from the noise of life, ground yourself in the present moment, and experience the quiet wisdom of horses in a community of like-hearted souls.
Held every second Sunday, this Circle is a sacred gathering for those seeking peace, clarity, and spiritual renewal. You don’t need any prior experience with horses, and you don’t need to commit to a long-term program. This is a welcoming space for anyone longing for connection, both inward and outward.
What to Expect at the Prayer Circle
Each Circle is unique, shaped by the group that gathers and the energy of the horses, but here’s a glimpse into what our time together might look like:
Gathering and Centering
We begin by coming together in a circle and taking a few moments to slow down and ground ourselves in the Sacred Now and connect with one another. The peaceful surroundings of the farm and gentle horses naturally invite a sense of calm and presence.
Presence Practice with the Horses
The horses, free to roam and interact with the group, are our wise companions throughout the Circle. Their quiet, intuitive presence offers non-verbal guidance that invokes deeper somatic and spiritual awareness that is transformational.
Meditation and Prayer
I will suggest a meditation or prayer practice or meaningful quote for your consideration, inviting you to turn inward, listen to your inner wisdom, and connect with your spiritual source. Whether you come with a specific question, a heavy heart, or simply a desire to rest in the stillness, this is a space where you can let go and just be.
Time for Reflection
There are opportunities to reflect and share with the group or simply sit with your thoughts that are intentionally woven throughout our time together. This is a sacred space for percolation and integration, supported by the horses and the collective energy of the Circle.
Closing Blessing
We close our Circle with a horse blessing, as each participant leads a horse to another participant in the Circle and shares a written blessing over them. Then we send everyone back into the world with a horse tarot card message and a song, renewed in body, mind, and spirit.
Why Horses?
Horses are deeply attuned to their surroundings and the emotions of those around them. They live in the present moment, without judgment or expectation, and their presence invites us to do the same.
In the Circle, the horses are free to interact as they choose. Sometimes they’ll approach an individual who needs their quiet reassurance; other times, they’ll stand as still witnesses to the group. Their energy is calming and grounding, creating a divinely-tuned atmosphere that helps us open our hearts and connect with what truly matters.
Who Is This For?
The Horse-Centered Meditation and Prayer Circle is open to everyone, whether you’re new to mindfulness and contemplative practices or have a well-established spiritual path. This gathering is especially meaningful for:
Nature and animal lovers: Immerse your body and spirit in the peace and wisdom of the natural world with confidence and trust.
Community Seekers: If you’re longing for connection and support, this Circle offers a safe and welcoming space to share in a collective experience.
Spiritual Seekers and Edgewalkers: Whether you’re deepening your current practice or exploring something new, the Circle provides a unique way to connect with your spiritual source.
Busy Souls: If you don’t have time for a long-term commitment, this one-time, monthly offering is a low-commitment way to pause and renew.
What Participants Are Saying
“My time with Beckie and the horses at Divine Equine was a sacred experience of deep connection to them, myself and my Creator. I opened to new life as the horses taught me by their presence how to be – be still, grounded, calm, strong, aware, accepting and giving. I experienced healing and wholeness. Beckie is a gifted healer and compassionate companion of the soul and spirit.” — Debbie
“Simply put, the time is worth it. The horses, the barn, the pasture, the earthy scents of all three, all bring an immediate quiet in my body, my very cells relax, and I can be still and receptive - in a way that I don't experience anywhere else.” — Marie
